Romans 4:13–25 teaches that God’s promise to Abraham was based on faith, not the Law or human effort. Abraham believed in God’s power to do the impossible, and his faith was credited as righteousness. Paul shows that this promise ultimately points to and is fulfilled in Jesus Christ. All who believe in the God who raised Jesus from the dead receive the same justification and become true descendants of Abraham. Salvation today still comes by faith alone—God’s gracious promise offered to all who believe.
