Why We Rejoice

The sermon, based on Romans 5:1-11, explores why believers rejoice in their faith. It highlights that through justification by faith in Jesus Christ, Christians receive six profound blessings:

  1. Peace with God: Hostility with God ends, replaced by harmony and rest through Christ's sacrifice.
  2. Standing in Grace: Believers are firmly established in God's grace, which is freely given and unconditional.
  3. Strengthened to Hope: Trials produce perseverance and proven character, leading to a confident hope in God's promises.
  4. Incomprehensible Love: God's love is demonstrated by Christ dying for sinners, not just the righteous or good.
  5. Confidence in Final Salvation: If God reconciled enemies through Christ's death, believers can be even more assured of salvation through His life.
  6. Rejoicing in God Himself: The ultimate joy is found in glorifying and enjoying God, which is the believer's highest purpose.
